Day 1 & 2 in Shanghai

Cabin Bags
It wasn't easy getting anything done here. Lots of adjustment to make in this country which is pretty different from many others we have been.

For a start, the internet is definitely not as accessible as one would like it to be. Free Wi-Fi in public areas required one to log in with a local mobile phone number. Finding an outlet that sells prepaid SIM wasn't as easy or many as we first thought. Getting the reload for the prepaid SIM is fine, though. Easier and many.

You cannot register for a prepaid SIM here with foreign ID or passport. So, it is best to find a seller who is willing to register, activate and purchase the mobile package for you on the spot! Mobile data package calculated by calendar date instead of days. E.g, package of 1GB mobile data if purchase before 15th day of the month, you will get the full 1GB till the last date of the month. If you purchase the 1GB package AFTER the 15th day of the month, you will only gets +-500MB till the last date of that month!

Do get your VPN readied before coming, though. It will helps a lot!
