I had just an hour plus of heads-up to meet there tonight. Didn't stay long either. About an hour plus, with my hubby after picking up from work nearby, there before +Joanne Khow joined us for supper nearby to end our night out.

Adding the final touch to the scallop dish
It was a rather last minute dinner gathering for four of us at my hubby's workplace tonight. Dinner was mentioned only a day before at late afternoon. A pretty rare meet-up for all of us in one seating. Alas, Cynthia needs to leave early. Hope to meet-up again soon, ladies!

This season's menu is mainly seafood. The way I like it!

Bocuse d'Or Shanghai 2014, Kenneth Loke from Malaysia

Saturday, March 01, 2014

After a fun, albeit a little tired, sleepover party for the kids last night, it is time for playtime! Today, Darren will be joining them. Hee!

+Joanne Khow, +Jamie Lau and their children need to grab some lunch before playtime. +Jojo Yap and I are craving for the Penang Laksa, elsewhere in the same building. So, we let Darren warmed up to the others, accompanying the other mommies for their lunch here before we settle the children at the Kids' Safe Zone. Playground!

After settling the children, we left for food and tea within the same building before it is time to pick them up.

Time for home. Jojo and I went for dinner in our neighbourhood before home.

It's Friday! +Joanne Khow brought her children down for a sleepover party with +Jamie Lau's children! As promised by 'em mommies dearest to their children. Woot!

After the two mommies settled their dinner and children at (Joanne's) home with grandma, aunts and maids, they came over to meet us (Jojo and I) - 22:45.

Joanne brought our share of dinner, nasi lemak for +Jojo Yap, her family adult members and me! We have it at Jojo's abode, food and chat till slightly passed midnight.

After we left Jojo's abode, it is Joanne and Jamie's turn to have some light bites. Teehee. They had dinner at 19:00. That is when we found this new outlet near my house!

The journey starts at 09:00 when +Jamie Lau picked me from my house for breakfast nearby. A quick dim sum before I need to detour a tad back home, forgotten to wear my wedding ring! Hur, hur, hur.

Arrived at our luncheon venue in KL 15-20 minutes later than planned. We will be meeting Irene and +Joanne Khow here! The heat has killed all my appetite now. I went for a mini box of sandwich and a glass of refreshing fresh juices.

Monday, December 16, 2013

It is the last free day - before packing and catching my flight out - for me to meet up with these two darlings and grab some last minute purchases for Stockholm trip.

The morning started with a brief breakfast in the 'hood with +Jojo Yap and Dar-kun.

Strike a pose!

Dropped by a pharmacy nearby to grab some essentials before heading home.

Just as planned, the whole event was stress-free and fun for everyone of us! From day one when we've decided till then, I've been trying to keep the whole arrangement as simple as possible. After all, what fun is it if stress is involved, right?

This is a dedicated entry for my first visit to Ben's at Publika. Which was also featured in the later blog - here.

Selection was ok. Dishes were ok. Pricing was a little higher than the standard that was present. I guess, for this kind in Malaysia, you will need to pay a little higher for novelty/pioneering sake.

Received a last minute text from Joanne Khow when she asked to meet up near my house this noon. She brought some of her stocks over for her clients to view.

I must say, I'm SOLD! I'm the least easy person when it comes to buying shoes for myself. Design and colours are just NOT ENOUGH for me to even consider. Comfortable levels, perfect fitting of my feet (toe gaps, anti-spillover, complimenting the shape of the legs, et la.), durability/maintenance ratio all that to the price label. Melissa's shoes, you win!

I've been required to walk quite a lot these passed years. Especially on those challenging pavement! Think cobblestone path & uphill/downhill. Now, combine those two scenarios together and imagine my sorrow. I'm pretty much stuck to boring designs and expensive comfy shoes for those long walks in those countries. Even buying sports shoes is a chores. Many cuts/designs make me looks like I'm wearing my man's shoes out the house in a hurry by mistake; found a pair of Geox and Reebok's latest non-marking for gym recently.

My dressy heels are left at home country. I'm still looking for that elusive pair, fit for walking on those challenging paves. Wedge-edge without looking gaudy and/or chunky on me (like the shoes are wearing me instead) are hard to find. Well, well...

It fits, it compliments my (legs) shape and bleeding hell, I can run on these!

And who said style and (super) comfort have to be compromised on a flats?

Just the right tinge of style without a bad aftertaste of tawdriness! Colour is so Fall/Winter 2012, too!
