It's been a while since I've updated this blog. A few travels, relocation and new purchases have passed since.

I'll try to update the backlogs here for the next few days/weeks/months. Time is a little pressing, health is not at its peak, plausible relocation soon and a mini travel trip coming up, too.

Over-packed by a very careful and considerate seller!

I'm one step away from ordering the Easy-Off Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner online. Couldn't get it to ship from Amazon US to Malaysia/Singapore. Found a seller sending to Malaysia via 11th Street for a couple of hundred ringgit 😰instead.

Going to try this (Astonish) for a start. I cannot stand my oven having any cooked on grease mark of any sort. OCD.

Surprisingly, this brand (Astonish) is pretty affordable to get, and easily, in Malaysia! Leaping Bunny approved, too!

First usage;

  1. Dry nylon scouring pad.
  2. Spread and light scrubbing in oven wall.
  3. Waited for 10 minutes.
  4. Scrub a little more with a bit of water.
  5. Wipe off.
Nope. Just a little better but not COMPLETELY clean 😢 Prior to this, I have tried using the same method with toothpaste. Comparing these two (Astonish vs Toothpaste), my toothpaste works better without leaving a dull finishing on my oven (inner) wall!

This Astonish cleaning paste reminded me of Jif! Now renamed as Cif! in Malaysia, I think. Which was my all time go-to cleaner, for many purpose, in the late 90's and early 2000's. Cheaper than Astonish, too. Sigh.

So, if you're like me, who seriously expect to clean your oven like new again, this one is not going to cut it.

I'm going to scout a bit more to get my hands on that Easy-Off Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner soon.

Astonish Oven & Cookware Cleaner

Ordered this together with another Baseus magnet holder for car's AC vent. This one came a week later, despite being shipped out at the same time from China via Lazada. Once in Malaysia, both were handled by different courier. So, damn you, Skynet 🐢

There is a few sellers offering the same item at different pricing, of course. This model came in 3 colours - silver, black and red. I've chosen silver. Easily blend into our furnishing as well as not annoyingly obvious when there's dust or fur on it 😽

This is quite a versatile and sturdily built tool! I do like the Baseus collection since I've gotten it's first magnetic phone ring stand via ezBuy. The base is adhered with a reusable sticker pad, which I've tried, is quite challenging to remove once I stick it on the table. A bit of prying using my kitchen's spatula, I've managed to pop it up again. Still sticky!

Instruction mentioned it is reusable when you rinse the sticky pad on the base once it lost its stickiness. Looking at the quality compared to the reusable sticker I've seen on a genuine iRing, I am going to reserved my doubt on it for now.

It hasn't been too long since I've touched a Windows device; workplace for basic task like emailing. But, it has been a decade plus since I actually owned one! Actually, it wasn't even really mine. It was my hubby's netbook which I will use when we travel. At that time, I was using the early Macbook. Kinda heavy, bulky and not travel-friendly. Our Android phones were also in its infancy stage whilst Ultrabook, tablet and Chromebook are non-existent.

We have been using Android and Chromebook since. I still have that old Macbook, still able to boot up but has not been able to upgrade for years now. I've gave up my first and last iPad Mini, too. Too slow to even boot up to just watch some low resolution Youtube video on it; compared to my phones and other Chromebooks owned now.

Then came 360-degree 4K video camera at affordable pricing. It's time to invest in a device which will allows me to edit the videos taken.

Basic hardware power is needed. After a month of research, pricing ratio to hardware, including the ease of local warranty, I've decided to get the latest Windows AIO offered. Also, having a good discount voucher code in hand is a good drive.

Goodness me! This AIO (all in one) is about the same weight as my hubby's new 13" Chromebook! Screen and sound are decent. Of course, I didn't purchase this just to edit video which I won't take on a daily basis. It is also strategically placed where I can watch some streaming video pre-bedtime IN bed!

Also, I don't need to borrow my friend's Windows to update my other gadgets' firmware now! Most time, I even forgo updating the firmware as long as my gadgets are working OK.

But recent 10 months, I have found the need to borrow a friend's Windows a lot more often. Mostly to test or rectify certain firmware update issue caused by OTA on my newer gadgets. Anyhoo, so here it is, my brand new step(back) to Windows.

Has it been any less intimating? Nope. I still dread looking at the spinning blue circle, constant marathon updates, roundabout search for hidden files/registries...ah yes, the same old, dreadful shortcomings of using a Windows.

Maybe, I just need a little more time on it to learn it has improved a hell load since I last dabble with it. Maybe.
