Tibetan Mastiff Sighted in My Neighbourhood!

I love 'em Mastiff! Given the living (weather) condition I'm in, there are many breeds which I can only admired from far but wished not to kept them in this household. One of such case is the Tibetan Mastiff.

So, this evening, I drove passed my neighbourhood's pet store and spotted this giant darling. I immediately turned back to take a closer look. I was right. It is a Tibetan Mastiff in Malaysia!

I literally jumped out from my car and upon observing this giant's gentle disposition & body language, I edged calmly & slowly towards him; making sure I'm in a non-threatening & submissive posture at all time. My heart was beating so hard in excitement, I was at the brink of giving this handsome boy a massive hug & some tomfoolery wrestle like I used to with my other dogs. I know better than to do so, I refrained & held on tightly to curb my enthusiasm.

I'd thrown the owner/seller much questions regarding this handsome boy. From licensing to its natural winter undercoat, from its age to temperament & of course, is this boy has been brought up living well with other animal (smaller) in the same territory. Finally, the big question - How much for him? I was more than happy with the answer given. Owner/seller said, "I won't sell it until I'm sure the buyer is capable to care for & love this dog. Till then, offer me a price to consider." This dood I spoke to owns this pet shop. Am glad he's trying to curb exploiting these cuties (much). Trust me, I am still in no favour to pet shop owners.

I left there happy to meet a Tibetan Mastiff, assured he will be taken care of as well as one will try & wishing all will be well for him to lead a healthy life in this tropical country. Note, the owner/seller required buyer to prepare an air-conditioning living quarter for this dog. Another plus point for the dog's welfare.

This is one with its undercoat still intact. See the difference?
