I was out in the early night, driving my unwell mum out by her request to go pack her favourite local food in the nearby precinct. She insisted I should packed some food back as well. As I've already taken my dinner, I wasn't craving for any type of food.
After her constant persuasion, I turned in to the newly opened House of Bean, hoping it will be like Mr Bean from Singapore. Alas, it isn't. This outlet doesn't sell dorayaki! I only crave for dessert after main course. And don't get me started on how bad a copy/adaption Lavender Bakery has done!

So, my next plausible choice around here is probably Chinese Steamed Rice Cake! Love those!

Alas! Takde also. I gave up. Going for my third plausible choice. An ol'skool sinfully sugary cream cake.
This is the FIRST failed I've ever had in Malaysia. JB has a hoard of super-failed bakers and pâtissier/pâtissière now. Confirmed. You want real pastry, go to Flor for the nearest fix. Need no further introduction for Japanese French Pâtisserie fanatics, 'm sure ^~^
Note: It is also just as easy to find good ol'skool Chinese bakeries at just about everywhere in Singapore (HDB hubs). Their classics like the above is still maintained well.
