Here is the compiled video clips of the event attended last week. This year, participated exhibitors have grown three times in size than the last! All the halls were used! We spent quite a lot of time in Hall 9 where all the culinary challenges and many big names (suppliers with local branches) are; INDOGUNA, CLASSIC FINE CUISINE, CULINA, SNORRE FOOD/NORGE SEAFOOD, et al. At later day, we started exploring other halls. I was pretty lost by then as each hall is connected to each other from within, and only a tiny signboard to indicates hall number. Unlike Hall 9, the rest are all connected, side by side.
Highlights:
★ INDOGUNA uses a quarter of their impressive setup space to showcase La Rose Noire. The rest within are invited guests only to sample all their impressive fresh produces from around the world, freshly made by several chefs.
★ Chefs Association Corner is of course, for all the chefs! Free flow and sample food, a lounge for chefs to meet and discuss.
★ Hall 1 is where they displayed this year's competitors' hot to cold works, as well as a small stage for presenting awards.
★ LEISURETRON, along with many big names in the alcohol scenes have a big spot near the bartender competition stage. Filled with lively music and drinks for sales. Many are free to sample.
★ SNORRE FOOD/NORGE SEAFOOD has an impressive booth made out from real wood! The setup reflects heavily of Scandinavian's minimalist architecture. Nature beauty at its best. Flown in a Norwegian chef as well to prepare their delightful selection of cold water seafood. I've been honoured to visit their actual farms and factories in Norway. Both impressed and assured of only the best will land on my plates.
★ There are a lot of Jamón Ibérico this year!
★ Spain's section housed many booths this year but not many are impressive.
★ Obsiblue prawn taste really meaty and sweet. Had it at Culina's. If you haven't already sampled this, give it a shot in raw, as like many good fresh produces.
★ There a lot of pastry cones and cups from many suppliers this time. One of which has an interesting cracker spoons. A brand from Italy(?)
★ Found a potential ceramic maker from Shizuoka. A small booth displaying ceramic and colourful glass works. Handmade. Adding it for Jonas' reference♪
★ I am super impressed by detailed, fine works of bread/dough in the hot to cold display section. I couldn't take more video/pic of it because of the aggressive crowd I met there. I swear they are literally devouring the displayed artworks with their moby cameras s( ̄へ ̄ )z A moby will shoved RIGHT IN FRONT of my camera within nano-seconds whenever I attempt to point at the artworks.
We met Mika and Otto there as well! Busy, busy, busy ^____^
