MyRail, Taman Molek

+Jamie Lau came to pick me for tea after her class in the 'hood. Given the time - 17:45 - we will be meeting, I thought I will just have my early dinner then. So, first stopped, The Little Island, a newly opened café serving Penang's comfort food. When we were seated, while looking through the menu, I noticed the chef leaving the premise in casual attire. I went, "Hey, isn't that the chef leaving? Who's cooking?"

Despite that, the busboy let us ordered, business as usual sorta manner. Fine. Within minutes of leaving our table, the same busboy came back, telling me ONE of my food order is not available. The kitchen is closed. Naturally, I asked, "So, what other food are you serving?", since he didn't mention the other food was not available (we've ordered two type of food beside drinks). He replied, "The kitchen closed at 16:30, no other food is available now (17:50)." No mention of the other food in the initial order we've made being unavailable. Stoned.

So, we left without hesitating. I don't get paid for teaching this busboy how to do his job right in the service industry AND still need to pay "service tax" to him.

Drove to a nearby café. Parked, ordered and dined.

Jamie is pretty impressed with the mock-up train seating. I wasn't. It looks like a work done by school kids, minus the effort from heart. Haa!

I do like the table on our seating area, though. Pebbles were displayed within two drawer slots on the surface, covered by a glass panel.

I've ordered the Tom Yam in the menu. Special request to have it served with yellow noodle instead of steamed rice or vermicelli. The young, lazy busboy taking our order was quite a pain to talk to. He was just plain lazy, slumped his upper half body on our table while taking order, not willing to budge at all to have my order mete. He was taking order from a preset system on an iPad Mini. Too lazy to take any request outside from what was on his hands. I wasn't holding back as well to comment outright, at him, "Don't be so lazy la. So tired mei?"... while he dragged his feet and swaying while walking to the kitchen with our orders.

MYR2.60 for a miniature flat, round bread. Jamie's order.

A smashing looking Jamie, shortly after she started her fitness (gym PT) routine! Result is darn fast! Bästa, Bästa!
