Shio Koji Japanese Sweet Potato & Chicken

Grilled chicken & Japanese sweet potatoes

This is the first time I'm attempting to have Japanese sweet potatoes as my side dish INSTEAD of dessert. It will be my last time, too. It's too sweet and dry, even without honey in the mix, as side dish to my main course!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3-4 medium sized Japanese sweet potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 1.5 Tbsp Shio Koji
  • Olive Oil
METHOD
  • Scrub clean potatoes.
  • Cut into bite sizes.
  • Coat potato well with olive oil.
  • Wrap potato cubes in aluminium foil.
  • Airfryer > 180C > 6-7mins.
  • Toss cooked potato with honey & shio koji.
  • Place potato on aluminium foil in baking pan without wrapping it this time.
  • Airfryer > 160C > 3mins > toss within pan > 3mins.
